Heard you made it to HK. Flew through there to and from Malaysia back in late '68-71, but never got a chance to see the place.. In those days landing was tricky because the Chinese frowned on anyone violating their airspace so the plane had to fly parallel to the coast and then at low altitude make a really sharp right turn, seemed like we put the wing in the water, to head in to the airport.
Anyway, glad you made it OK. It will be lonely at first, but Chinese will be very impressed that you are trying to learn their language so don't be afraid to give it a go.
Also, good idea to stop smoking. You'll get plenty of smoke, etc. just breathing the air.
